DUI & OWI Defense Lawyers Serving Michigan

Defending DUI (driving under the influence) and OWI (operating while intoxicated) charges is often complex. It takes a great deal of time and experience in order to provide a level of legal representation that can clear a client of DUI or OWI charges, particularly when there is physical evidence against a driver. This is why you need an aggressive and knowledgeable Lansing DUI attorney on your side.

At Kronzek and Cronkright, our experienced DUI and OWI lawyers know exactly what it takes to defend clients in all walks of life who are facing drunk driving charges in Lansing and throughout the rest of Michigan.

For instance, if you are arrested for OWI or DUI and submit to a blood or breath test which shows you have blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08% or greater, you will face a difficult fight. You will be charged with OWI and there will be physical evidence which can be used against you in court. The prosecuting attorney may also use your performance on field sobriety tests against you, if the arresting officer believed that your test results indicated intoxication due to alcohol and/or drugs.

Your DUI defense lawyer will need to prove that the breath test or blood test which was administered showed an incorrect result, such as due to an error on the part of the person who administrated the test or because the breath test machine malfunctioned. Your lawyer may also need to prove how your performance on field sobriety tests was actually not indicative of intoxication – but was actually caused by something else, such as weariness, illness or a physical condition.
